“Bridge of King Alexander I Karadjordjevic”

On the occasion of celebrating 600 years of town of Zvornik, members of the workshop “Paleta” painted 3 canvases with a total length of 12 meters and width of 2 meters. The canvases were spread out on the bridge and people from both sides of the Drina River had the chance to watch the process of creating this marvelous piece of art. The first painting shows the Town Museum and Blagojevic brothers standing by the very first car in Zvornik. The second painting shows Town Gate and the character of Byzantine princess popularly known as “Jerina the cursed,” who is thought to have lived in the City Tower. The third painting displays city coat of arms, Bridge of King Alexander I Karadjordjevic, Town Gate and the medieval town of Zvornik called “Kula Grad.”
These three paintings presented all the sights and significant characters of Zvornik through its history.
