This project was inspired by Nobel Prize Winner Ivo Andric and the world-renowned film director Emir Kusturica. Members of “Paleta” painted the canvases with a total length of 10 meters and width of 2 meters using acrylic painting techniques. One canvas displays the figure of Serbian famous writer Ivo Andric and his Nobel Prize for Literature from 1961. The other canvas displays Serbian film director Emir Kusturica, and some of the characters from his popular movies, such as Arizona Dream, When Father Was Away on Business, and Time of the Gypsies. Kusturica’s construction project of Andricgrad, that will also be used as a filming location for his new film based on the book “The Bridge on the Drina” by Ivo Andric, served as an inspiration for members of “Paleta” to join these two characters in one story. The project was presented in 2012 as a part of Zvornik Summer Festival. Art lovers from all over the country had the chance to see this great piece of art.
